Ya. I never had that problem but I know people who have. I can tell you a few things: even if it doesn’t seem like it, I promise they do it because they want good things from you. They do it because they are scared to watch you fall apart. They don’t know how to trust you and the people around you. With all of the record high numbers of overdoses and drunk driving, it’s hard for parents to know when it’s a good time to let you learn your own lessons. I’m 2 years out of high school and I know 3 people who died from drunk driving (1 got hit by a drunk driver, and the other two were driving drunk).
Maybe you should sit down and talk with them CALMLY. If you feel there is some sort of misunderstanding, then you need to clear the air and talk about it. I know it seems like they won’t listen or could never understand, but you never know until you try.
I would recommend you follow my counselling page but I’m never on it anymore. I stopped getting people asking me for help so I slowly stopped using it :/
